Hit the Lights!
Hit the Lights is a high-energy performance hip-hop piece! I wanted to capture the vibrance and intensity the artists Jay Sean and Lil Wayne produce from this song! She admires both artists highly and created a piece that serves them both justice!!!!!

The Experience
The Experience is a self-thesis with an exploration of dance/expressive arts therapy with an emphasis on trauma. Within the thesis, there are 2 original written works; ‘The Memory’ and ‘The Story’ that express my own experience with the trauma I experienced as a child and how it affected me growing up. There is also a trigger warning presented in the work because of the subtopics mentioned and the intense language used.

We Are Free. We’ve Been Free.
Set inside an interrogation room. How did they get there? What is going through their minds? Are they going to make it out free, or are they going to go to jail? Are they innocent, or are they guilty? Consistently, black and brown Americans are charged with crimes they did not commit. For some, the charges are dropped, for others, not so much. Throughout the time inside the room, there is the power and strength of not giving up and being strong. We are going to make it through. Ultimately, we are let go as we have done nothing wrong. Inspired by the Netflix original When They See Us.

We Are Okay
This is a dance video created by Kayla Dame that was inspired by the music and video of "Big Girls Cry" by Sia and Sir Heffington featuring Maddie Ziegler. This is in no way of making fun of the video or disrespecting the art form, but to pay homage to the three, and everyone else involved in the creation of this masterpiece. Sia and her music are so inspiring and beautiful to listen to, Sir Heffington's choreography is unique, and Maddie Ziegler is mesmerizing to watch perform: This is my way of saying thank you to them for doing what they do for paving the way for aspiring dancers, choreographers, and other performance mediums.
